JOHN COBB - PRINCIPAL - Ext. 309
Graduated with Honors from University of Florida with a BS in Business Administration majoring in Finance. Mr. Cobb was the Director of Academic Advising and College Placement for three years at a local private college prep school. Mr. Cobb also taught Economics, Investment Strategies, Accounting and a variety of math courses.
LAUREN LUMLEY - ENGLISH DEPARTMENT
Graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a K-12 ESOL Endorsement. Ms. Lumley was born and raised here in Sarasota. She has worked closely with children in the high school and elementary settings where she taught algebra and language arts. Lauren began a tutoring company to assist students with all subjects. She is a competitive runner, RRCA Certified Running Coach, and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer.
MATT HILLER - HEAD OF SCHOOL - Ext. 310
Raised in the small town of Conway in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Mr. Hiller graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York with a BA in Government and Minor in History. Upon graduation Hiller moved to Florida to enroll in the Masters in the Arts of Teaching Social Science Education and graduated with honors in 2007. After 3 years teaching, coaching, and mentoring students at a private school in Bradenton, Florida, Mr. Hiller opened Elevation Preparatory Academy.
JOHN SABIN - MATH DEPARTMENT
Graduation from Bentley College with a BS in Finance. Upon graduation from college, was employed as a Financial Analyst and Finance Director of a utility company. Prior to employment at Elevation Preparatory Academy, worked at a local private college preparatory school and a school for the gifted in Tampa teaching math.
MAUREEN WUESTLING - SOCIAL STUDIES & ESOL
After being raised in the “Heart of the Berkshires” in Massachusetts, Mrs. Wuestling pursued undergraduate studies at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. A Bachelor’s Degree in French was earned with minors in English, Spanish and Arabic. Post-Graduate work was first completed at the University of Missouri-St. Louis; she earned her M.Ed. Additional Post-Graduate work was at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO; she earned an M.Ed.Adm. Mrs. Wuestling spent 20 years as both a teacher and a Principal for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO. She is a lifelong member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She also has a lifelong Teaching Certificate from the State of Missouri. Prior to teaching at Elevation Prep Academy, Mrs. Wuestling enjoyed tutoring when she first moved to FL nine years ago.
KIMBERLY MIRASOLA - SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Graduated from the University of North Carolina @ Wilmington, in 2003 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 2004 Kim began teaching High School Science at a Parochial school in New Jersey before returning to North Carolina in for her teaching license. In 2007 she began teaching Biology in North Carolina, and was the head coach of both the boys and girls soccer teams, as well as the Ski and Snowboard teams. Kim Mirasola was awarded Teacher of the Year for Polk County High School in 2012 and continued on to receive the District Wide Title for that year as well. Kim moved to Florida in 2015 to be near family and start a Hoop fitness business. Her company specializes in "movement as medicine" and helps aging adults find relief from arthritis and helps teens find relief from PTSD and other Anxiety disorders.
CHAD HERMAN - ENGLISH
Graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with associates of Aeronautical Science and a bachelor’s degree of English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of West Florida. Worked in multiple fortune 500 companies writing communications before turning to education. Mr. Herman has articles and poetry published in multiple literary magazines and websites. Worked for over 15 years educating students in the public school system.
CHAD SAUNDERS - STUDENT SERVICES / MEN'S BASKETBALL - Ext. 313
Graduated from Indiana University with a BS of Science in Kinesiology. Emphasis on Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, and Sport Nutrition. Upon graduation Chad and his wife moved to Florida where he started working as an Exercise Specialist on the Spinal Cord, and Orthopedic Teams in a hospital setting. After 3 years Chad decided to leave the hospital environment so he could do what he loves to do and that is working with young athletes. He has been training young athletes now for 15 years, while also coaching basketball and working at another local prep school.
CHRISTIAN BASTIAN - HISTORY / SOCIAL STUDIES
Born in California but raised in Mexico and then Utah, graduating from Brigham Young University with a BA in Dance, then a BA in History Education from Utah Valley University. Taught in the public schools in Utah, Idaho, and Florida for several years, then completed a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing in 2016. Taught for 2 years at Snow College, but preferred to be teaching high-school aged students.
MAYA COX - MATH DEPARTMENT
Maya Cox was born and raised in Tampa, FL. She completed her Associates degree in high school at St. Petersburg College. After graduation, she pursued her Bachelor’s degree at the University of South Florida, studying chemistry and concentrating on biochemistry and biotechnology. During her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved as a volunteer at Tampa General Hospital. Through her involvement, she helped pilot a tutoring program for teenage and young adult patients to keep them on track for high school graduation or pass their GED with college readiness scores. She served as the President of Institute Council through her church’s board of education, helping young adults gain spiritual education and fellowship. In addition to professional pursuits, Ms. Cox enjoys training for half marathons and triathlons, baking and cooking, and spending time outdoors.

ADAM BENNETT - IHA HEAD COACH
Adam Bennett grew up and played all his minor hockey in Georgetown, Ontario. After completing 1 year with his local Jr. B team, he was selected 2nd overall in the Ontario Hockey League by the Sudbury Wolves. The very next summer, Bennett was drafted 6th overall to the Chicago Blackhawks in the National Hockey League, and was the first defenceman selected that year.
As a rookie, Bennett's NHL career started with teammates such as Chris Chelios, Jeremy Roenick, Eddie Belfour and Steve Smith. After 2 seasons between Chicago and Indianapolis (IHL), Bennett was moved to a younger squad of talent in Edmonton where his game began to flourish. Unfortunately, near the end of his 1st season with the Oilers, he suffered a serious knee injury which forced his early retirement.
After returning to his hometown, Bennett began a long career as a hockey developer and coach for numerous aspiring players. Many of his students went on to NCAA, minor Pro levels, and the NHL. Bennett has been a coach at all levels of minor hockey up to Jr. A with the Mississauga IceDogs in the OHL. In 2008, he was elected to the Halton Hills Sports Museum.
EDSON AGUIAR - FA EURO SOCCER ACADEMY TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Aguiar has enjoyed an internationally illustrious career as both a player and coach. He is a home grown youth product of São Paulo FC where in 1981, he made his professional debut for the first team for the Tricolor. Playing at the highest level in his homeland, Edson has played for São Bento, Guarani FC, and Club Athletico Paranaense for an impressive span of 9 years. In 1989, Edson would venture to the Land of the Rising Sun where he would play for Nagoya Grampus in Japan. Aguiar has enjoyed an internationally illustrious career as both a player and coach. KAI HAASKIVI - HEAD OF SCOUTING AND DIRECTOR OF COACHING EDUCATION
Kai Haaskivi is regarded as many as one of the most well respected coaches and footballing pioneers of his generation. From scoring a goal against the immortal Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff to being one of the founders for IMG Academy's world renowned soccer program, Kai has left an ongoing legacy that has helped shape and transition US Soccer into the modern era.Born and raised in Finland, Kai's exposure to soccer started early in life as his father, Olavi, served as the Director of Coaching for the Finnish Football Association for over 35 years. Although raised in a soccer family, Kai ’s individual prominence in soccer began in the early 1970's as a member of the Finnish National Team from 1977 to 1984. Kai earned his first cap on the Finnish National Team in 1977 and continued in the National spotlight for years including playing in 1978 and 1986 World Cup qualifying matches and for 1980 European Championships.
